BACKGROUND

British made, expedition grade apparel brand, The Shackleton Company, first commissioned Glassmint in 2016 to create visual content for its outerwear, knitwear and accessory collections.

Polar explorer Ernest Shackleton was the inspiration for the brand and with 2018 marking the centenary of Shackleton’s most famous expedition, the brand sponsored and equipped Captain Lou Rudd on his 'Spirit of Endurance' expedition - a 925 mile solo quest across Antarctica.

CREATIVE BRIEF

We were asked to work with with Lou and the team at Shackleton to create pre-expedition imagery and visual assets for the Lou Rudd Collection.

Lou’s epic journey was the inspiration for a robust clothing range that celebrates the outstanding achievement of a modern pioneer.

APPROACH

Our creative team worked with the brand through, styling, photography and retouch to create a portfolio of visuals for the campaign covering:

- Creative photography and video for pre-expedition blog series.
- Portrait, flatlay and model photography for social content.
- Product & model photography for ecomm.
